What is Camp Getaway? 

Remember summer camp as a kid? It's like that, only with adults. Think capture the flag, scavenger hunts, and campfire sing-a longs. Except we take it to the next level with all the comforts you want as an adult - with gourmet food, and specialized classes.  Camp Getaway is a weekend to swap out your to-do lists and habitual routines for play, new friends, and incredible new memories.  You will want to stay "forever"

Can I bring my pets?
We wish you could, but unfortunately at this time, pets are not allowed on the premises.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in begins at 4:00pm on the day of arrival, and check-out is at 3:00pm on the day of departure.

What if you don't want to participate in activities? 

That's totally fine! If you want to nap all day, great! If you want to do every activity and not sleep for more than an hour each night, that's fine too! .

Is alcohol included in the price?

Wine is included with dinner. We also offer 2 signature drinks.

Can I bring my own alcohol?
Unfortunately, our liquor licence and insurance policy does not allow guests to bring their own alcohol.

How far is the drive from Edmonton?
Approximately 60 minutes, depending on traffic.

What’s included in the price?
Your rate covers all lodging, meals (wine with dinner), themed parties and equipment. It also includes all bedding and bath towels in your room / glamping tent. 

What should I pack?
Here’s a handy list of things you should bring along:

Toiletries (shampoo/conditioner, soaps, toothbrush/toothpaste)

Beach towels

Sunscreen

Mosquito repellent

Closed-toe shoes

Bathing suit

We’ll also email you a more detailed list before your arrival.

What about showers and bathrooms?

Campers will share communal bathrooms and showers (private stalls). There will be some gender-specific bathrooms available.

I have a specific diet (vegan, allergies, etc) Will I be able to eat the food?

Absolutely - whatever your dietary restriction(s), Chef Jenn will prepare something for you. You just need to let us know in advance so we can prepare.

What if there's a medical problem?

We are located 10 minutes from the closest hospital.  Staff are all trained in First Aid & CPR.

Refund Policy

100% of ticket sales are used to fund the overall Summer camp experience so we do not offer refunds. You are able to transfer your tickets to the following year or transfer your ticket to another camper. You would just need to provide us their name and email to info@lakeviewevents.ca. This policy is in place to protect Camp Getaway and everyone's experience.
